Horizon Forbidden West has proven to be yet another high-profile release plagued by visual issues, as Guerrilla Games admitted in a post on the official Horizon subreddit yesterday, but the developer is making progress toward the intended experience with the release of the game’s first patch, which includes a slew of IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES.
While players of Horizon Forbidden West will have to wait for a future patch to address issues like blurriness in performance mode, Patch 1.05 does fix a number of graphical issues like images being oversharpened in HDR mode, the HUD flickering under certain conditions, and issues with asset streaming.
Patch 1.05 also includes several performance and visual updates, as well as fixes and upgrades for parts of Horizon Forbidden West’s major missions, side quests, and Activities throughout the world. The latest patch should also help to prevent crashes.
