In League of Legends, it takes a lot of time and effort to get the perfect skin. Fortunately, this doesn’t seem like an issue anymore thanks to sites like lolking that make it easy to find every champion’s best skins. However, choosing which one is right for you can be overwhelming-and expensive! I decided to take on that task myself by going through all ranked champions’ entire collection and narrowing down their top five “best” skins. Here are my picks!

Without his suicidal expedition, Malphite would not be the colossal rock we know and adore. Yasuo wouldn’t be able to eat as swiftly if he didn’t have his Hasagi.
Teemo wouldn’t be as disliked if he didn’t have his death traps.
Then there’s Sylas, a jerk who takes your more lauded talent and puts it to his own use.
And if you’re going to the Rift to conduct identity fraud anyhow, you may as well look attractive while doing it to make the agony go away.
Thus, for all of Sylas’ skins that we’ve received so far, here’s my rating.
Sylas, the Lunar Wraith

This was, without a doubt, one of the strangest release skins I’ve ever seen.
It’s like if Riot spent all this time creating a champion whose major motif is beating people to death with the shackles that bind him, and then they gave you a skin that radically transforms those chains.
Now all you have on your arms are some over-the-top bead bracelets, which, according to your background animation, also contain energy and may convert you into a werewolf.
You’d assume I was fabricating this information. But take a look and see for yourself.
This strange creative decision irritates me since I appreciate some of the new animations this skin introduces – but a passive proc that’s a little easier on the eyes and an ult motion that seems a little more mythological would be preferable.
Even the particles, though, are rather lovely here.
Overall, Lunar Wraith Sylas is the kind of skin that doesn’t make much sense, but it has some interesting aesthetic effects.
If you don’t care about the topic of a skin and simply want to be flashy, this may be a good alternative to consider.
2. SYLAS PROJECT

On May 27th, 2021, the film will be released. 1350 RP is the price.
PROJECT: Sylas is a wonderful dude in general.
With bionic limbs and legs, white hair, and abs you can grate cheese on, the character model has a distinct Genos feel about it.
The animations are also rather good, with the Q being particularly noticeable and flashing, as well as a backdrop animation in which you play Subway Surfer in the center of the Rift.
The sound effects are all fairly mechanical, which adds a little more punch to the overall impact of this skin.
You also receive a voice changer, which helps to tie everything together.
It’s also worth noting that this skin has a Prestige edition that, shockingly, provides you with extra clothing options.
I’m not a great fan of the Prestige in this case since it makes the passive procs a little too showy for my liking.
However, it’s very great that the Prestige design alters your whole look rather than just your color palette.
1. Sylas of the Freljord

On the 10th of January, 2020, the film will be released. 1350 RP is the price.
The fact that Sylas didn’t appear like he belonged anyplace was something I never liked about him.
There was nothing about his character model design that made you think of Demacia or Noxus.
But, doesn’t Freljord Sylas take care of it nicely?
Sylas gets some new outfits to display some individuality, as well as a hood that makes you feel like you’re playing an Assassin’s Creed character.
I also appreciate how your chains have now been frozen. It has the feel of a prisoner who has been held captive in the mountains for decades.
The animations and effects are all based on ice, and your whole combination now feels and sounds like an icy storm is passing by.
I’ll admit that the new background animation here seems to be a little haphazard. This skin also has the least chroma diversity of the group — but those are minor quibbles.
As a result, I consider this skin to be the greatest Sylas has to offer.
