The Best Electric-Types in Pokémon ORAS & RSE –

Pokémon ORAS has introduced a new type, the electric-type. The best Pokémon in each generation are listed below with the respective strengths and weaknesses of their Electric-Type movepools.
Eevee is on top due to its access to TMs for these moves but it can only learn one at a time so it’s not as good as Pikachu who learns two (Thunderbolt & Thunder). It also doesn’t have reliable STAB moves like Raichu does.

The “manectric” is a Pokémon that has been in the game since the release of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. The manectric can be found in Route 3, which is located on the east side of Mt. Pyre. If you are looking for a strong electric-type Pokémon to use in your battle, then look no further than the manectric.

The Best Electric-Types in Pokémon ORAS & RSE –

We all adore our Pokémon that have been supercharged with electricity.

The greatest of them are lightning quick, outrunning and surprising their opponents before they can retaliate.

Here are the best Electric-types the Hoenn area has to offer if you want to power your squad in ORAS or any of the Gen 3 originals.

Electrode No. 5

Electrode is a lightning-quick Electric-type whose other stats let it down.

To compensate for this, we’ll channel our speed into even more power. Let’s take a look at some nice Electrode movesets:

Electro Ball is learnt at level 22 and grows in strength the more Electrode outruns his opponent. Electro Ball will deliver significant damage to an opponent with an average or low speed.

We may employ Electrode Discharge, which we learned at level 41, as our main STAB move.

Electrode’s other two moves will be used to compensate for its low HP and defenses.

When it comes to keeping Electrode alive against formidable opponents, we have two possibilities. The first is to get Thunderstorm as TM73 from a traveling merchant in Slateport City, with the goal of paralyzing the adversary.

If you’re up against a special-attacking opponent, you may also use Light Screen to boost the special defense of the whole party, ensuring that Electrode doesn’t go to waste. Light Screen is a level 29 skill.

Catch a Voltorb on Route 110, then develop it into Electrode by raising it to level 30.

Galvantula, no. 4

Galvantula is my favorite Electric-type Pokémon of all time, yet it only ranks fourth on our list.

It’s only accessible in ORAS, despite having a unique type and excellent basic stats. It’s only discovered late in the game, immediately after the last Gym fight. So it’s up to you to decide whether it’s worth the wait.

We’ll leverage Galvantula’s unusual typing with Signal Beam, a strong Bug-type STAB move Joltik will learn at level 34, as a build setup.

At level 54, teach Galvantula Discharge to Electric-type STAB.

Pick up Energy Ball (TM53) in Area 1 of the Safari Zone to cover Galvantula’s Ground-type vulnerability.

We’ll utilize Thunderstorm as Galvantula’s last move since it’s pretty sluggish for an Electric-type. We can then immobilize any opponents who may be able to outrun us.

If Joltik didn’t already know Thunderstorm when you caught it, you may need to go to the Move Reminder in Fallarbor Town to learn it.

Catch a Joltik by using the DexNav on Route 116 (accessible after conquering Sootopolis Gym). Raise it to level 36 to evolve it into Galvantula.

3. Raichu

First and foremost, Raichu does not learn any new moves as a result of leveling up.

So, before you develop Pikachu, make sure you teach it every move you want it to know.

In terms of a recommended build, we’ll employ a traditional moveset to play to Raichu’s strengths while making it almost tough to hit.

We may train it Thunderstorm to immobilize our opponents, then Double Team to evade them. Raichu’s evasiveness will be maxed up after six uses. Both of these moves come naturally to Pikachu at levels 18 and 21, respectively.

Once Raichu has gained enough evasion, we’ll channel Ash Ketchum and utilize Thunderbolt repeatedly until the opponent faints. At level 29, Pikachu will automatically learn Thunderbolt.

If you’re facing a Pokémon that’s resistant to paralysis, though, Agility could be a better option. While this will not paralyze the attacker, Raichu will be able to outrun it.

Agility, gained at level 37, is the penultimate level-up move before developing Pikachu.

Pikachu may be caught in Area 1 of the Safari Zone.

Obtain a Thunder Stone by either discovering one in New Mauville or exchanging one for a Yellow Shard with a Route 124 Treasure Hunter after it has learnt its entire moveset.

To develop Pikachu into Raichu, use the Thunder Stone on it.

Magnezone is number two on the list.

Magnezone is a fantastic enhancement to Magneton, which was initially released in Generation 4. So you’ll have to make do with Magneton if you’re playing Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.

However, we’ll utilize Flash Cannon and Discharge as STAB moves for Magnezone’s moveset, which can be learnt at levels 33 and 43, respectively.

If you’re up against a special-defense wall, Sound of Metal can assist you by decreasing its special-defense by two levels. At level 29, Magnemite will learn this move.

Magnezone’s last move, Magnet Rise, will compensate for Magnezone’s Steel/Electric typing by negating its vulnerability to Ground-type attacks.

If you’re playing the Generation 3 games, you may want to give Magneton these moves to get the greatest results:

  • Spark
  • Sound of Metal
  • Thunderstorm
  • (4th move is subject to change!)

Magneton isn’t nearly as effective as Magnezone. So, in RSE, Magneton would definitely come in fourth, directly behind Galvantula.

Catch a Magnemite on Route 110, then develop it into Magneton when it reaches level 30.

If you’re playing ORAS, after conquering the 8th Gym, go to Square Tower to meet Wattson and unlock New Mauville. Magneton may be evolved into Magnezone by leveling it up in New Mauville.

1. Manectric Mega Manectric Mega Manectric Mega Manec

Manectric is a multi-talented Electric-type that can fit into any squad.

It also assists with its new Mega Evolution.

Here’s how we can turn it into a force to be reckoned with:

First off, take Manectric to the Move Reminder in Fallarbor Town to teach it Thunderstorm, then head to the Lilycove Department Store to buy the TM for Thunder (TM25).

Thunder is a very strong move, but because to its poor precision, we’ll have to provide Manectric with another solid strike.

Manectric will learn Discharge at level 30, which should be utilized more frequently than Thunder unless you want to risk your attack missing.

Manectric should learn either Flamethrower or Double Team as its last move, depending on whether you want more damage or want to be safe.

As soon as I have it (TM32) on Route 113, I start teaching Manectric Double Team. When I go to Victory Road, I replace it with Flamethrower.

Flamethrower (TM35) can be discovered on Victory Road’s floor B1F, but you’ll need a Pokémon that learns Strength to get there.

Catch an Electrike on Route 113, then develop it into Manectric by raising it to level 26.

Pick up Manectric’s Mega Stone at the Route 110 Cycling Path’s north entrance.
